Some of you may recall that our District once had a ritual competition. We’d like to resurrect this tradition. In addition to building our sense of community throughout the District and helping to keep our ritual skills sharp, it’s our hope that this will be a way of encouraging brothers to tackle new roles and passages. There will be two categories: Singles and Doubles. The Singles category will be for solo participants performing stand-alone passages, while the Doubles will be made up of pairs of participants reciting some type of ritual duet. For this first iteration, the Singles passage will be the First Charge of the Entered Apprentice Degree, and the Doubles passage will be the Why’s and Wherefore’s of the same degree.
As we get closer to the event date, we’ll work out the specifics regarding location and timing.
