Brothers,

I hope this finds you all hale and happy in the New Year. With January already breaking into its second half, our 2017-2018 CST District Ritual Competition is fast approaching! It has been a few years since we have held such an event in our District. We’re hoping for a great turnout and a great day of Masonic education.

In addition to building our sense of community throughout the District and helping to keep our ritual skills sharp, it’s our hope that this will be a way of encouraging brothers to tackle new roles and passages. There will be two categories: Singles and Doubles. The Singles category will be for solo participants performing stand-alone passages, while the Doubles will be made up of pairs of participants reciting some type of ritual duet. This year the Singles passage will be the First Charge of the Entered Apprentice Degree, and the Doubles passage will be the Why’s and Wherefore’s of the same degree.

The attached rules document contains further details on the program and how it will be conducted. If you are planning to attend or compete, please let me or VW Br Justin DeVine know in advance, so that we are able to prepare accordingly.
