After weather-related difficulty with our previous date, the CST District Association Annual Picnic will be held on Sunday, July 16from 1pm to 5pm in Nichols Park in Spencer, NY. A brief meeting will be held at 2pm to touch on any necessary Summer plans and to inform everyone of our plans for the upcoming Masonic year. As they have in the past, the District Association will supply essentials like hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverages, but attendees are asked to bring with them a side dish-to-pass.

For those who may be unfamiliar, Nichols Park is owned by the Village of Spencer and maintained with the assistance of a local group of non-profit volunteers. The park is built around Nichols Pond, which is a great spot for fishing and is ringed by a scenic walking path that’s just right for a post-hot dog stroll. The park itself has two pavilions available for our use, permanent bathrooms, a baseball diamond, and plenty of open space for recreational activities. Everyone is encouraged to bring along their favorite lawn games.

The best way to make our District stronger is to continue to build our bonds of friendship and brotherly love. The Picnic is a great opportunity for brothers and their families to get together and share food and fellowship. If you plan to attend, please contact VW: Jeff Golden, so that we can put together a reasonably accurate shopping list for the event.
